Exciting news!

Our very own Wayne Dorsey was recently honored by the Maryland Governor’s Office on Service & Volunteerism with the 2020 Black History Month Leadership and Service Award, presented by Governor Larry Hogan!

For his outstanding work in the sector after founding the organization almost five years ago at the young age of 23, Wayne is being recognized by the state as an exemplary nonprofit leader in not only Frederick County, but moreover the African American community in our region.

We’re so proud of him and we congratulate him on this esteemed honor! Special thanks to our Director of Fundraising Laurel Caurvina for accepting the award at the Annapolis ceremony on the organization’s behalf!
